Glass Fusing
Glass fusing is the process of using high temperatures inside a kiln to melt glass and join it together to form a solid and unbroken piece of glass. 'Art Glass' is the name often given to describe high quality coloured glass.
Divine Glass Design uses only tested compatible art glass produced by the major glass manufacturers, such as The Bullseye Glass Company and Spectrum System 96
We also work extensively with included metals such as gold, platinum, copper and aluminium - check out our 2006 exhibition “On Your Metal” for some examples.
Fused glass often also includes glasses with special surface coating, including iridescence, lustres and dichroics.
Using these materials, we handcraft platters, bowls, plates, and dishes to your requirements - as well as make beautiful handcrafted jewellery.
