Glass Slumping
Glass slumping is the process of heating a single piece of glass in a kiln until it is soft enough to drop (or slump) into a mould.
Optionally the glass can be decorated with precious metals; painted or screen printed with pigments; or subsequently etched.
Using these techniques we can produce a wide range of tableware - including platters, bowls and plates - as well as larger “architectural” pieces.
Items which are slumped (as opposed to fused and slumped) offer a more economical alternative for large orders - in particular corporate gifts.
