Studio Sessions

After completing formal courses, students are able to continue to access studio services in order to continue learning under our supervision.

For insurance reasons, we cannot provide studio facilities for commercial purposes or to those who may have learnt elsewhere although we do provide firing services.

The number of studio sessions (each of 3.5 hours) is limited –  coping with a maximum of 4 students at a time –  and they are scheduled to meet reasonable demand.

We ask that all attendees adhere to published time frames and particularly ask that you do not come early (as we often schedule our meals around the sessions and do like to eat).

We prefer attendees to book (and prepay) to ensure availability.  Studio session times  are displayed at the studio and  published on our website.  However, sessions may be available at other times by arrangement.

Studio users are expected to use their own basic tools and the studio is well equipped with other tools and facilities for glass working.

The standard studio use fee is $15 per session which provides work space, access to advice, use of tools, grinders, polishers, ad hoc lap, etc.  Alternatively, you can save 20% by prepaying $48 per month for a particular weekly session.   If you want exclusive use of particular kilns or equipment at particular times or have specific deadlines to meet, you must book to ensure this.  Other fees structures may be negotiated.
